Next "Kindred Spirits a Book Club" Meeting

Happy "Cinco De Mayo" Ladies!
We should be wrapping up "My Life in Orange." I know that it is bound to spur a lot of discussion. (Krystin did want to add a disclaimer to her selection, there was some language, but hopefully we just glossed over it). The next meeting will be May 11th at The Gourley Home at 7:00 pm. Tiffany is down to bring refreshments, thanks Tiffany. Our next book selection is "The Guernsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society." by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. This book is now available in paper back. Costco will have it out on their shelves starting on May 6th. I have started it and it is a really fun read.
See you all next week.

Movie Night at Beth's

Hi Ladies,
I hope this writing finds you all well and ready to have some good fellowship time. Our next bookclub is on February 2nd at 7:00. We will be meeting at Beth Green's beautiful home and she will be providing the dessert as well. All you need is to come and relax for a wonderful time of fun. I will be at Albertson's parking lot at 6:45 pm if anyone would like to ride with me or follow me out. I hope everyone is reading "The Source", if you skip over some of the disturbing parts it is alright with me but once you get past a certain part it is a good story. We will not be discussing it this month however because it is soo long. We will be watching the movie "Fireproof" which I just bought on DVD.
Oh and I just about forgot. Beth did have a baby girl on January 16th and her name is Zoe Grace. Please bring a book for baby Zoe's Library.
Have a great weekend and happy reading!

What a Month- Whata Year!

Hello Ladies,
I am so sorry I am just now writing this post. My mother passed away on December 18th. It has been a whirlwind of a month and I am just now able to breathe. It was very sudden although she has been sick with alzheimers for several years. We are very glad that she did not linger in pain and that she is now hearing the glorious music of Heaven (she was deaf). I have not even started reading this months book club book, but I will be working on it this week. Hopefully you are all enjoying it. If there is someone out there that would like to lead this months discussion, I would be more than happy to hear from you. Book club will be at my house on January 5th. Jodee will be bringing dessert and I am anxious to here about everyone's Christmas's. Please be prepared to share a Christmas tradition for your family. Our next book is "The Source" by James Michener so search the used bookstores, I hear that this is a great one by several people that have read it. We will discuss whether we need to take 2 months to read this as it is very long.
I wish you all a Blessed New Year!
